Hampton... Franklin General Hospital (FGH) Chief Nursing Officer/Assistant Administrator Chris Eckhoff was named Iowa’s 2012 Outstanding Nurse Executive for Iowa during award ceremonies at the Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) Annual Meeting held in Des Moines on October 8.
The award was presented by the Iowa Organization of Nurse Leaders (IONL), which each year recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding achievement in nursing leadership.
Eckhoff has been a nurse at FGH for 37 years and has served as chief nursing officer/assistant administrator for 17 years.
In congratulating Eckhoff, FGH CEO Kim Price says, “This is a wonderful recognition of Chris and her talents that she has shared at FGH through many projects, including the implementation of electronic health records and the hospital’s recent master facility planning and construction, as well as being a leader throughout the Mercy-North Iowa network. She is certainly deserving of this recognition.”
In accepting the award, Eckhoff said, “I am very honored to be chosen for this award, but I could not have received this without all the great people I work with at Franklin General Hospital.”
